  • Prospective students will automatically be considered for our academic and supplemental scholarships when you apply for admission to the University.

    Yes! If you’ve already been awarded a scholarship and your score improves enough to qualify you for a larger one, your award will be increased. Scores must be earned May 31 of your graduating year and must be sent to the Âé¶čAV.

    To do so, log into your ACT/SAT account and request that your scores be sent to the Âé¶čAV.

    We will accept all SAT, ACT, and ACT Superscores earned by May 31 of your graduating year.

    Yes, the Scholarship Office will use your ACT Superscore to determine scholarship eligibility. Be sure to submit all of your ACT scores to the Âé¶čAV (school code 1612).

    SAT Scores – Log into your and request that your scores be sent to Âé¶čAV (school code 6672).

    The University only considers non-weighted GPAs (those on a 4.0 scale) to determine scholarship eligibility.

  • Requirements for maintaining scholarships vary, depending on the scholarship. Review your original scholarship offer letter for details. Requirements may also be listed in ULink. On the “Financial Aid & Scholarships” card, click “My financial aid and scholarship awards.” 

    If you do not meet the requirements to maintain your scholarship, you have the right to submit a scholarship appeal only once. Students who lose their scholarships will be notified with instructions on how to submit an appeal via U.S. mail.

  • Scholarship offer letters for incoming students are sent via U.S. mail starting around early November. You must be admitted to the University before your scholarship award letter can be mailed to you.

    Yes. Any student who would like to live on campus, including those receiving housing scholarships, must submit a housing application.

    Pride of Acadiana Marching Band scholarships are typically applied to your account after band camp in August.

    Athletic scholarships are handled through Ragin’ Cajun Athletics. Please contact your coach for assistance.

    Louisiana TOPS is not included in your Âé¶čAV scholarship offer. If you qualify for a Âé¶čAV academic scholarship though, you likely qualify for Louisiana TOPS on top of your scholarship.
