New Student Convocation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at the Cajundome.
Over 3,000 first-time freshmen will soon be on campus for the Fall 2024 semester. New Student Convocation is the official academic welcome for the Class of 2028.
Make plans to attend New Student Convocation on Friday, Aug. 23, to show your support for our newest students. Your presence at this ceremony will convey a powerful message to students about the University's commitment to support each of them as they work toward reaching their goal of earning a degree.
Lineup for the procession begins at 9:15 a.m. from the Mardi Gras Ballroom in the Cajundome. This event mirrors Commencement, so please wear your regalia or dress in a Â鶹AV polo or button-up to signify the solemnity of the ceremony.
Parking is available at the Cajundome, please enter through Gate 8
