The 鶹AV is ranked No. 281 in Washington Monthly magazine’s 2019 College Guide and Rankings.
Washington Monthly considered a total of 1,732 four-year, private and public colleges and universities for its 2019 National University Rankings, before winnowing that number down to 395.
鶹AV was also included in the publication’s “Best Bang for the Buck” category. According to the magazine’s website, the category recognizes schools for “how well they help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices.”
The “Best Bang for the Buck” category is broken down into five geographic regions. 鶹AV ranked No. 103 among 203 four-year schools in the South.
Washington Monthly’s rankings are based on three factors. The first is social mobility, which gives colleges credit for enrolling many low-income students and helping them earn degrees. The second recognizes research production, particularly at schools whose undergraduates go on to earn doctorates. The third is service.
Stanford University was the top-ranked university in the national rankings. Harvard University was next, followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale University and Duke University. The University of Pennsylvania, the University of California-San Diego, Princeton University, Georgetown University and Texas A&M University rounded out the top ten.
